The system (100) comprises a first section that has a colouring machine (1) and a transport system (5) for handling of racks (4) with object carriers. There is a second section that comprises a covering machine (20). The transport system~s racks with object carriers from the colouring machine are transported directly to the covering machine. The colouring machine and the covering machine may have individual housing (2, 22) in which an enclosed system is formed. The housing of the colouring machine and the covering machine may have a turnable cover (6, 25). The housing (2) of the colouring machine may have a side opening (33) as well as the housing of the covering machine having a side opening (23) such that both openings may be aligned to each other.
