Pyrotechnic actuator with two relatively moving parts (1, 2) that are displaced by a first remotely detonated explosive charge (7) from a first into a second relative position and by a second remotely detonated explosive charge (9) from the second into approximately the first relative position comprises a sensor (19) that triggers the detonation of the second charge when the second relative position is reached.
