Grinding disk (1) comprises a central coupling region (2) for coupling with a rotary drive for rotating the disk about an axis of rotation (3) running through the coupling region and a working region (4) partially surrounding the coupling region. The thickness of the working region increases from an inner thickness to an outer thickness in a direction radial to the axis of rotation. An independent claim is also included for a device for the production of a grinding disk. Preferred Features: The thickness of the working region increases continuously from inside to out side in the radial direction.
