The fitting has a fitting part (6), which is positionable at a furniture part (2) of a box furniture, and a mounting rail (8) inserted into a furniture panel (4). The fitting part and the rail have cross sections that are engaged with each other in a form-fit manner, and are adjustable relative to each other during a form-fit engagement. A clamping device (10) e.g. screw, is attached to the panel and/or the rail, and is engaged with a partial surface in a clamping position. The surface is formed at the part (6) and runs in a transverse direction relative to a motion direction of the device.
