The freezing device has a freezing chamber (9) surrounded by heat insulating enclosure (7), which is mounted in a chiller (13). A holder (17) is provided in the covering area (12) of the freezing chamber at which chiller is detachably mounted hanging below the covering. The holder is provided partly in the transition area between the cover and a side wall or a rear wall of the freezing chamber.
