The holding device for at least one planar element (12,13), with a holding profile (1) with at least one slot (16,18,19,20) to accommodate and fix the planar element, has a spring element (5) or an elastic element installed in the slot and is designed for pressing the planar element, or an element such as a seal fitted in the slot, onto an inner wall of the slot. The spring element may be a leaf spring, or a metal spring which may be a steel spring. The spring or elastic element can be fastened in an additional slot (4,8) in a member in the slot above for holding the planar element.
