The device has a belt (4) that is formed of a flexible unit, makes possible getting- in and out of an operational person in a driver`s cab (1) in a resting position and prevents a falling out of the operational person from the driver`s cab in a supporting position. The belt has a mounting point in an area of the driver`s seat (3) that is arranged in the driver`s cab. The belt is automatically moved from the resting position into the supporting position if a vehicle reaches a predetermined operating condition.
