Chair back has an outer chair back framework (1) with two chair back framework legs (11,12), an internal clamping frame (4) with two lateral clamping frame legs (41,42), between which a flexible covering (44) as well as a withdrawable and compactable clamping frame cross connection (43) are arranged. A hand wheel (6a,6b) is arranged at a chair back framework legs with a threaded bar running through the legs of the chair back frame, such that that the neighboring clamping frame legs can be drawn towards, so that the clamping frame cross connection is pulled apart and the flexible covering becomes strained and by that the neighboring clamping frame legs can be moved away, so that the clamping frame cross connection will squeezes and the flexible covering is loosened together.
