The jalousie (11) has slats (10) that are flexibly connected with each other, where the slats are wound or unwound on a winding shaft. An elongated housing (12) is fixed at a lower area of the jalousie. A roller (13) made from insect-proof material is arranged in such a manner that the roller is provided in the housing when lowering the jalousie, and an insect-proof layer is provided in the housing, when lifting the jalousie. The insect proof layer is formed from a windable material such as from metal wires or plastic wires.
