The board for use when peeling asparagus has an upper horizontal section (14) which is attached to the top of a work surface (18) by suction cups (22). A vertical section (16) fits over the edge of the work surface and connects the upper section to a lower horizontal section (20). Cup-shaped notches (30, 32) allow a stalk of asparagus to be placed in a sloping position to assist peeling.
