A flexible light strip comprises groups of spaced luminescent diodes (2) switched in series on a flexible conductive track and a band of conductive component carriers (1). The carrier has a body (4) of hardened molded material and the component carrier is either itself or connected with a carrier on or in the body. Emitted light radiates at least in the body and ends of the component carrier have a contact or electrical connection (6,7) that is switched together with at least one group of diodes through the conductive track.
