The device has a straight and thin portion which is provided to loosen the stranded guitar strings. The diameter of the portion is about 0.5 millimeter (mm) to 1.5 mm. The material at the ends of the device is free of burrs. The side of the device which does not loosen the stranded guitar strings, is variably arranged.
