A rapid separation valve comprises a housing with at least one axial through hole and at least one pressure channel (20) coupled to a pressure lead with openings into the hole. A rotatable hollow shaft (40) is coaxially located in the through hole and has an outer wall and an inner space (50) in fluid connection with a pressure-release channel while connecting channels (41-44) link the outer wall and inner space. An actuator rotates the hollow shaft between positions in which the connecting channels are open and shut (54-48). Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) An additional valve as above;and (B) A control valve as above.
