The arrangement has a gas bag (1) inflatable by an inflation device (4) for protecting a passenger, as the inflation device releases gases for filling the bag. A front side of the bag is turned to the passenger. An opening of the bag opens out in the front side, where two gas bag sections (11, 12) are formed in the bag through the opening. A gas guiding device (3) is attached to the inflation device, which redirects the gas that is released from the inflation device for the inflation of the bag such that the gas flows along a main development direction of the bag in the sections.
