The ventilator for a window or door is mounted in a casing with a roller shutter. It contains a fresh air channel (32, 33, 36) and an exhaust channel (34, 35, 37), each fitted with its own fan (40, 41). A heat exchanger (17) is fitted between these with channels (24, 25) which form part of the fresh air and exhaust channels. An independent claim is included for a casing with a roller shutter which is fitted with the ventilator.
