Casted double base propellant charge comprises a nitrocellulose (35-55 wt.%), liquid nitric acid ester (30-50 wt.%), non-explosive plastifying agent (5-12 wt.%), a mixture of lead salicylate and lead-beta -resorcylate (1-5 wt.%) as a ballistic modifying agent and a stabilizer (1-3 wt.%), where the moisture content of the propellant charge is not more than 0.25 wt.%.
