Keyboard musical instrument for the selective production of a mechanical sound and synthetic sound without mechanical vibrations of the strings

A keyboard instrument comprising: an acoustic piano (1) having a keyboard (1a) fingered by a player, strings (1d) respectively associated with hammers and selectively struck by the associated hammers for producing acoustic sounds, and a pedal system (1e) for imparting effects to said acoustic sounds; an electronic sound producing system (3) responsive to a fingering on said keyboard (1a) for producing electronic sounds; and a silent system (2) having a stopper (2c) allowed to enter into a blocking position (BP) for preventing said strings (1d) from impacts of hammers (1c). The stopper (2c) in said blocking position causes said hammers (1c) to return to home positions after escape from the associated key action mechanisms. The electronic sound producing system (3) is further operative to monitor said pedal system (1e) for imparting said effects to said electronic sounds.
