The vehicle has a floor pan (11) including rails (13) cooperating with legs and offset clamps of a console (9) for connecting the console in a releasable manner to the pan. The console has an upper part movable with respect to a base. The rails are arranged side by side with equal space (E), and cooperate with legs and offset clamps of one of five seats (7) to connect the seat in a releasable manner to the pan. An independent claim is also included for utilization of a seat instead of a console in a motor vehicle.
