USE OF A MIXTURE OF SPECIFIC POLYSACCHARIDES AS INDICATED BY THE EZBONE INVENTOR COMPRISING HYALURONIC ACID, CHONDROID SULFATE, DERMATANE SULFATE AND HEPARIN IN BONE HEALING.

Use of a polysaccharide mixture (I), comprising hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulfate, dermatan sulfate and heparin, which forms a gel for the manufacture of a medicament having healing activity. Independent claims are also included for: (1) the preparation of (I); (2) a biomaterial for bone regeneration comprising (I) in a hydrogel form for the manufacture of a medicament useful in healing as well as osteoconductor material and/or osteoinductor or a surgically implantable system; and (3) an endogenous bone implant or all surgical invasive systems (of temporary or of definite duration) comprising at least a part of the surface coated with (I). ACTIVITY : Osteopathic. The efficacy of (I) in bone healing was tested in male rats. The results showed that (I) completely healed the bones by filling the orifice. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
