The set has a set of longitudinally aligned rail cars (2) each with longitudinal front and back ends. A knuckle-joint connection (14) is placed between, for each car, the front end of the car and the back end of the preceding car in alignment. Each car has a bogie (6) on which a case (4) rests, and pivot connection units (8) to connect the case with the bogie. The connections (14) are placed at a level lower or equal to the units (8) with respect to the plane of the set.
