The tray (1) has a bottom wall (2) and longer and shorter lateral walls (3, 4) perpendicular to the bottom wall, where the tray is formed by folding a light cardboard plate including a central face. The cardboard has a side constituted of plain or printed paper. The lateral walls are formed by flaps (9, 10) articulated around sides of the central face. The walls (3) exposed to bowing comprise horizontal grooves (7) and zones with double thickness of the cardboard resulting from folding of one part of the walls (2, 3) on the other part of the walls (3), where the parts are fixed to one another.
