The cushion (18) has a slot (20) situated in longitudinal prolongation of a central console (10), and a movable cushion part (22) situated in the slot, where the movable cushion part is removable. The movable cushion part is withdrawn partially from the slot when the cushion (18) is in its raised position so that a rear end (14) of the console is positioned in the slot. The movable part is displaced in the slot by a sliding unit constituted of two fixed parallel slides and movable parallel slides, where the movable slides are integrated the movable cushion part.
