Controlling passenger's luggage at air terminal, for identifying presence of prohibited unit traces of, e.g. explosive comprising forming a gas stream of high intensity by sucking a part of interior air volume through a portion of a wall (15) of a luggage (10) and forcing the gas stream through the luggage, where the gas, e.g. air stream draws away traces of an explosive or narcotic type prohibited unit; and the gas stream is guided towards a spectrometer (26), where the spectrometer identifies the presence of the traces of the explosive or narcotic type prohibited unit, based on an ion mobility spectrometry method, where the stream forcing and the stream guiding are performed simultaneously, is new.
