The nappy has front, rear and crotch parts (13, 15, 17) provided with absorbing quilting (18), where the nappy is configured and dimensioned to form a thoracic belt (19a, 19b) defining a fastening zone above the xiphoid process of an infant. The belt comprises elastic tensors (21) situated in the upper part and oriented in the longitudinal direction of the belt. Elastic tensors (23) are situated in the medium and lower part of the belt and oriented diagonally relative to the longitudinal direction of the belt.
