The frame has a unique foldable element (1) defined by a cut out (2) and folding traces (3) and having a main structure constituting framing aesthetic edges and an image support. The image support has angled openings adjusted at the four corners of an image to be framed. The folding traces are determined by different parameters, where the frame is made of paper or cardboard. The frame is folded by reducing the dimensions of the element by flat folding and by assembling the element by a user. An independent claim is also included for a method of assembling a foldable frame.
