The tower has a main lattice structure formed by main vertical frames (41), and wind-bracings i.e. cross pieces, connecting the main vertical frames with each other. The main vertical frames are made of metal elements folded longitudinally along two folding angles separated by plane central zones (42). Reinforcement parts (40) are fixed directly on central zones (43) of the main vertical frames. The reinforcement parts are selected from plane metal elements and longitudinally folded metal elements. The reinforcement parts have transversal section similar to that of the main vertical frames. An independent claim is also included for a method for installing reinforcement parts on a tower.
