The floor has a lower part (12) and an upper part (14) between which an electrical motorization battery (16) e.g. nickel metal hydride battery, is inserted. The battery extends inside a survival cell (23), of the body-in-white (18) of a motor vehicle, in the central part of the vehicle between the front and rear wheels. The lower and upper parts form rigidification elements of the body-in-white. The part (14) has an air scoop and the part (12) has an air evacuation opening to circulate the air coming from the cab interior around the battery.
