Polyvinylidenefluoride (PVDF) based composition having adhesion properties on various metals comprises PVDF at 0-99 wt.%; vinylidenefluoride copolymer (I) 0-99 wt.%; and (meth)acrylic, vinylic or allylic copolymer (II) 0.5-50 wt.% having phosphorus chemical groups reactive with metal. An independent claim is included for a process of allowing a fluorinated polymer adhesion on the metal comprising using the composition, where the composition is used as an adhesive layer between the fluorinated coating and the metal surface.
