The injector (1) has a nozzle comprising a body (2) equipped with an orifice (3) for injecting fuel in a predetermined direction. An adaptation unit (5) is connected to a case (8) integrated in a wall of the nozzle and modifies a fuel injection angle with respect to main axis (X) of the injector according to operating conditions of the engine. The adaptation unit comprises two orifices (6, 7) placed one above the other in a direction parallel to the axis of the injector. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling an engine.
