The procedure for cultivating plants hydroponically on a substrate or with free roots uses a nutrient liquid containing a biological fertiliser that is degraded on a substrate different from the plant substrate and which is seeded by micro-organisms such as bacteria, enzymes or enzymeproducing fungi such as Tricoderma or Tricoderma harzianum. The nutrients produced by the biological fertiliser include nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulfur, and oligo-elements such as iron, copper, manganese, molybdenum, boron, cobalt and nickel.
