The system has a motor (9) actuating mechanical transmissions (10A, 10B) ensuring opening and closing movements of a boot lid and a displacement of a luggage-covering shelf (8), where the mechanical transmissions are formed by clutch cables. A control unit (11) allows selective control of the boot lid and the luggage-covering shelf and synchronizes movements of the boot lid and the shelf using electronic clutches (E1, E2).
