The method involves receiving an order of command, when an indicator light is in on state, for adjusting luminous intensity of an inscription or display. Another control order, for switching the luminous intensity between day and night positions corresponding to two different luminous intensity levels of the light, is received. A difference value is provided to the luminance of the light to test whether a luminous intensity value is greater or less than a preset threshold value when one of the positions is selected by the control order. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an aircraft driving and control equipment comprising an indicator light (2) an aircraft comprising an aircraft driving and control equipment.
