Controlled screw gun`s operational state diagnosing method for e.g. passenger car assembly line, involves determining nominal or defective operational state of screw gun based on torque of gun`s motor and torque exerted by screw socket
The method involves screwing a vehicle part by using a screw gun during assembling of the vehicle part on a vehicle assembly line. Torque of an electric motor of the screw gun is acquired during the screwing of the part. Torque exerted by a screw socket on the part during the screwing of the part is acquired, where the torque exerted by the socket corresponds to the torque of the motor. A nominal or defective operational state of the screw gun is determined based on the acquired torques. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a system for diagnosis of an operational state of a screw gun controlled with a vehicle assembly line (2) a device for simulation of a screwing in by a controlled screw gun of a vehicle assembly line.
