The crankshaft (9) has hydrodynamic bearings that are lubricated by pressurized oil brought by orifices, and does not comprise balance weight. A crankpin is connected to a connecting rod (6) of a variable compression ratio engine, and trunnions and an axial stop bearing are arranged in an engine block of the engine. Each hydrodynamic bearing has a smooth cylindrical surface arranged on the crankshaft and rotated in bearing bushes.
