The support has a stop (60) located at a height higher than a beam of a bumper of a motor vehicle. The stop is crushed in case of impact of a pedestrian such as infant, against a body shell element such as hood, in direction of the stop. The stop is made of plastic or composite material such as thermoplastic material charged by fiber such as fiberglass, where the support forms a rigid point for the pedestrian at the time of the impact of the pedestrian against a bumper skin of the vehicle.
