The pick up has a hay container (7) with a series of parallel rods (9) which is maintained by a transversal tube (10). The tube is maintained at each of its ends by curved tubular arms (8). The arms are articulated on an axle (6) at their free ends, so that the container occupies a working position or a cleaning position. Rods are freely supported on herbs collected by a transversal rotating pick up (1) in working or bottom position. The rods are pivoted towards the top and are disengaged from intervention zone by rotation of the container, when the container is in top or cleaning position.
