The seat has a rigid metallic moving element (15) mounted on a rigid metallic support frame (12) between two positions. The moving element is connected to the support frame by connecting rods (18, 19) which impose a predetermined trajectory at the moving element between the positions. An actuator mechanism displaces the moving element between the positions. The mechanism includes a cam follower e.g. pin (23) which acts on a cam section by cam effect, where the cam section is provided in mechanical connection with the moving element.
