摘要

The method involves subjecting an implant (1) to a thermal treatment at a temperature comprised between 600 and 750 degrees. The implant is subjected to another thermal treatment at a temperature comprised between 300 and 400 degrees. A pure titanium coating having a Vickers hardness less than 2800 is deposited on the implant. The implant is brought back to its initial shape, by a mechanical stress, at a temperature closer to the atmospheric temperature. The implant is made of a shape memory alloy e.g. titanium and nickel alloy, comprising 42 percent of titanium. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an implant made of a shape memory alloy (2) an agrafe (3) an acetabulum (4) a tympanostomy tube for articulation (5) a cranial clip (6) a nail.
