The method involves recuperating mineral materials extracted from a trench in a receiving and storage unit (10), and pouring the materials in a riddle (23) to separate the materials into two fractions of small and large particle sizes. The fractions are poured on respective conveyors (25, 27, 28, 30) and transferred into a mixer. The fraction of small size particles is mixed with additives and poured in a base of a section of the trench for forming a sublayer of the base. The fraction of large size particles is mixed with additives and poured on the sublayer to form a rolling sublayer. An independent claim is also included for an assembly for processing mineral materials from a trench.
