The pump has an upper cap (11) with a hollow housing chamber. A base (12) is coupled with the upper cap to form a casing. The base has an inner side (120) to install an air pump assembly. An opening (123) and a muffling chamber are located on an outer bottom side of the pump. The hollow chamber is formed by indenting the outer bottom side of the pump and is covered by a bottom lid. A set of partitions is provided to divide the hollow chamber into a set of small air compartments, where the air compartments communicate with each other through vents to form a circuitous path.
