The method involves obtaining an enriched design room model with a listing of equipments in a hospitalization room. A listing of characteristics of the room is updated from the listing of equipments and correspondence rules. A computing data structure representing the room is generated from the model. Listings of same type are merged into a single merged listing before obtaining the model. The merged list has all non quantifiable characteristics e.g. carpet presence, and a combination of identical quantifiable characteristics e.g. ampere socket presence, in the listings of same type. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program comprising instructions for the execution of stages of a method for assisting a project for construction of a building (2) a computer readable storage medium storing a computer program comprising instructions for the execution of stages of a method for assisting a project of construction of a building (3) a device for assisting a project of construction of a building.
