PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper moisture measuring method capable of correctly detecting the moisture content of paper, for example, in the case where the surface of paper is coated with a chemical agent or specially treated or consecutive printing is carried out, and to provide a moisture measuring device and an image forming apparatus.;SOLUTION: A humidity detection sensor 11 is disposed close to and opposite to the surface of paper to be conveyed on a paper conveyance path 10. The moisture content of the paper is obtained from the length of time in which the paper passes through the place where the paper faces the humidity sensor 11 and from a change in humidity detected by the humidity detection sensor 11 during the passage of the paper.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
