PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device which can judge the orientation of a document to be printed based on PS data, and to provide a document orientation judging method and program. PSOLUTION: The image formation device for printing a document based on PS data comprises a means for judging that the orientation of a document to be printed based on the PS data is in landscape mode if the orientation of a sheet specified in the PS data is oblong otherwise judging the orientation of a document depending on the rotation angle of each drawing object specified in the PS data.
