SIMULATION METHOD FOR HEAT GENERATION RATE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, TORQUE MODEL CREATING METHOD FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, AND TORQUE ESTIMATING METHOD FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation method for the heat generation rate of an internal combustion engine, a torque model creating method for the internal combustion engine and a torque estimating method for the internal combustion engine, wherein estimating accuracy is improved when using Wiebe functions for estimating the heat generation rate, the cylinder pressure and the torque of the internal combustion engine.;SOLUTION: The heat generation rate of the internal combustion engine is simulated using the plurality of Wiebe functions. The first Wiebe function is determined so that the maximum value for an actual heat generation rate and a crank angle showing the maximum value correspond to the maximum value for the first Wiebe function and a crank angle showing the maximum value, respectively. The i-th Wiebe function (i is an integer of 2 or greater) is determined so that the maximum value in a waveform obtained by subtracting each of the Wiebe functions up to (i-1)-th from the actual generation rate and a crank angle showing the maximum value correspond to the maximum value for the i-th Wiebe function and a crank angle showing the maximum value, respectively. A value for the i is increased until an error evaluating value for evaluating an error between each of the Wiebe functions up to i-th and the actual heat generation rate, is a reference value or smaller.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
