PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transesophageal probe or ultrasonic diagnostic equipment obtaining other measurement information in addition to measurement information obtained by the transmission and reception of ultrasonic waves.;SOLUTION: The distal end 42 of the transesophageal probe 50 is provided with a vibrator 30 for transmitting and receiving the ultrasonic waves to/from the heart 12 at the front through the esophagus wall and a detection part 40 for detecting the pulsation component of the heart 12. As the detection part 40, a pressure sensor for detecting pressurizing force to be given from the esophagus wall to an abutting surface 28 or an acceleration sensor for detecting the angular velocity, acceleration and displacement amount, etc., of the distal end 42 abutted on the esophagus wall can be used. The distal end 42 of the transesophageal probe 50 is abutted on the esophagus wall positioned near the heart 12 by a positioning mechanism that the transesophageal probe 50 has.
