PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the radio area of a relay node by changing antenna directivity by a simple configuration and simple control when a plurality of nodes are arranged linearly. PSOLUTION: This radio area adjustment system is provided with: a radio communicating means for performing radio communication at a prescribed radio transmission output value; an antenna means having a plurality of antenna elements each having with only a prescribed distance separated so as to be able to connect and switch any of the plurality of antenna elements to the radio communicating means; an operating state detecting means for detecting an operating state of each neighboring node on the basis of a communication state with one or a plurality of neighboring nodes; and an area range adjusting means for increasing the radio transmission output value of the radio communicating means, making a non-conductive antenna element provided at an inactive neighboring node side function as a wave director and adjusting a radio area of the inactive neighboring node side when the operating state detecting means detects a non-operation of the neighboring node.
