PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to unwind a superconducting wire of a superconducting coil used for a device for exhibiting the property of superconducting wire so that the unwound superconducting wire can be used for other uses. PSOLUTION: A property exhibiting device of superconducting wire comprises a primary coil both ends of which are connected to a power source, and a secondary coil which is made into a closed circuit by connecting both ends of the secondary coil. The primary coil and the secondary coil are formed of superconducting wire. Above the stationary primary coil, the secondary coil is disposed with the end sections in the axial direction opposing each other, and the secondary coil is made to float by the repulsion between the magnetic flux generated in the primary coil and the magnetic flux generated in the secondary coil when current is applied to the primary coil. The primary coil is so configured that: an insulating layer is provided on the surface of the superconducting wire; the superconducting wire whereon a non-adhesive insulating tape is overlaid is wound around a former; an adhesive tape for pressing and winding is attached to the winding terminal end on the outermost periphery so as to maintain the wound state; and, after exhibiting the property of the superconducting wire, the superconducting wire of the primary coil can be unwound by removing the adhesive tape.
