PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled device to be surely guided to a desired position to move and a self-propelled device guiding system for guiding the self-propelled device in inexpensive configurations.;SOLUTION: A self-propelled device (security robot 4) configured to be guided by an optical beam emitted by a light emitting device (charging device) to move in a preset prescribed timing is provided with a first detection part 45a for receiving and detecting the omnidirectional rays of light in the lateral whole circumference by one optical sensor 45a4; a second detection part 45b for receiving and detecting the rays of light from a traveling direction by one optical sensor 45b2; and a CPU 461 for executing a rotation control program 463d for rotating the security robot 4 so that the optical beam emitted by the charging device can be detected by the second detection part 45b when the optical beam emitted by the charging device is detected by the first detection part 45a in the preset prescribed timing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
