PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified determination method and a simplified determination measuring instrument for readily analyzing in the field, the concentration of nitrate ions and phosphoric ions which are recognized widely as materials causing water pollution caused due to environmental underwater eutrophication.;SOLUTION: In this simplified determination method of underwater environmental pollutants, a method wherein pretreatment is performed beforehand, in order to develop a color in sample water containing the underwater environmental pollutants; the color is developed in the pretreated sample water by using a coloring agent; the underwater environmental pollutants are determined by utilizing color development, the pretreated sample water is injected into a column 1 filled with an adsorbent 2, such as granular or powdery octadecyl group bonding type silica gel (C18); and the concentration of pollutants is measured from the length of a coloring part of the adsorbent 2 in the column 1. When nitrate ion concentration in the underwater environmental pollutants is measured by the determination method, an adsorbent 2, on which a coloring agent is carried beforehand, is filled in the column 1 for the simplified determination measuring instrument.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
