PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reference block for an ultrasonic flaw detecting test that holds an artificial defect that resembles a natural defect very closely in a test specimen and is excellent in shape, size, and positional precision. PSOLUTION: At least one member with a natural flaw or an artificial flaw and at least one non defective and good member made of the same type of material as that of the preceding member arranged around the preceding member (front and back, right and left, up and down) are surface-joined with diffused junction.
